What are the Best Weapons in Lords of the Fallen?

There is no general answer to what the best weapon in Lords of the Fallen is. To find the best weapon for your character, there are 2 points to consider:

  • What kind of build are you playing? This determines what your corresponding distribution of attributes is. A character with a high value in Strength Strength needs different weapons than a character with a high value in e.g. Radiance Radiance.
  • Where are you in the game? The further you progress in the game, the more weapons you will find. Therefore, the best weapon also depends on which weapons you can actually find.

🚧 In progress: We are currently working on lists to serve both aspects as best as possible. You’ll soon find a list of the best early-game weapons in Lords of the Fallen to get you started. Leaderboards for weapons from different categories will follow at a later date.

What Do Weapon Stats Mean in LotF?

  • Level: Displays the current level of your weapon. Weapon levels start at 0 and can be increased by upgrading the weapon from the blacksmith. The higher the level of the weapon, the higher many of the other stats are. The level is displayed as “+x” after the weapon name.
  • Type: Indicates which weapon type the weapon belongs to.
  • Weight: Indicates how much the weapon increases your encumbrance. Load affects your movement and the speed of your roll speed.
  • Rune slots: Runes can be inserted here. Runes give the weapon various bonuses.
  • Scaling: All weapons have scaling values. These determine which attributes increase the damage dealt by the weapon when increased. There are four possible Sacling types: Strength Strength, Agility Agility, Radiance Radiance and Inferno Inferno. The best scaling is “S”, followed by “A”, “B”, “C”, “D” and “E”.
  • Status Buildup: Determines how much status buildup each hit of the weapon causes to the opponent. The higher the buildup value of a particular status, the fewer hits are required to inflict the respective status on the opponent.
  • Attack Power: Determines how much damage your weapon or ammunition causes. The total damage dealt is displayed as Attack Power, and underneath you’ll see a breakdown of each damage type that contributes to that total damage (Physical, Holy, Fire, and Debuff).
  • Block Protection: Determines the amount of damage your weapon absorbs when used to block an enemy attack.
  • Requirements: Specify how high certain attributes must be in order for the weapon to be equipped. Some weapons require multiple attributes at the same time.
